AT A GLANCE

A wide range of technical and design innovations

Extravagant vehicle creations

Uwe Gemballa brought the company into being in 1981 and since the 80’s he has established GEMBALLA as a leading international, highly respected car modification company. With a wide range of technical and design innovations, GEMBALLA creations were way ahead of their time.

GEMBALLA vehicles have always ranked among the most radical, exclusive, premium vehicle modifications in the world. As well as Porsche cars, GEMBALLA has also modified vehicles from Mercedes, BMW and Ferrari. GEMBALLA has been listed as a registered car manufacturer with the German Motor Vehicles Authority (KBA) since 1985.

After the death of the company founder, in 2010 the renowned company was taken over by CEO Steffen Korbach, who has been at the helm of GEMBALLA himself since 2016 and as the third generation of management, exemplifies the pursuit of perfection, in every detail, no matter how small.

Since 1981, the tranquil town of Leonberg near Stuttgart has been Germany’s number one location for extravagant vehicle creations. The AVALANCHE range, dating back as far as the 80’s, enjoys iconic status with car fans from all over the world, and the latest version is still part of the range of models available.

1979 to present

Since 1981, the GEMBALLA name has stood for refined vehicles from Porsche in particular. In the early days under a different name, as far back as 1979, cars from other premium marques were modified on occasion by the vehicle specialists, in line with special customer requests. This created visionary, innovative milestones in the luxury modification segment. No other name is linked as closely with vehicle modification, and above all, Porsche conversions. In more than 40 years of history at GEMBALLA, we have set the benchmark for a whole industry, particularly with regard to aerodynamics, design and performance enhancements.

For many years, now, automobile legends have come to life in Leonberg near Stuttgart, going by the names AVALANCHE, MIRAGE, MISTRALE, TORNADO, and MIG-U1, inspiring enthusiasts all over the world.

2019

GEMBALLA GTR 8XX EVO-R

Already at first glance of the vehicle’s silhouette, the potent transformation of the Porsche 991 Turbo series into the GEMBALLA GTR 8XX EVO-R BITURBO becomes evident. Masculine bodywork expansion in line with striking front and rear modifications creates a self-assured appearance.

However, our latest development provides much more than a fascinating new aerodynamics concept: The performance increase to 818 hp in combination with the configurable performance handling system makes the GTR 8XX EVO-R BITURBO one of the strongest and fastest sports cars for use on the street as well as on the race track.

GEMBALLA AVALANCHE (3rd Generation)

Completely in line with the tradition of the first AVALANCHE from 1985, GEMBALLA is once again setting standards with its uncompromising design, its interior opulence and its vehicle dynamic properties. As the AVALANCHE not only looks martial, but it also oozes engine power thanks to its extensive mechanical and electrical precision machining. From the 3.8 litre unit of the Porsche 991 Turbo, the GEMBALLA engine technicians have achieved an elemental 820 hp/603 kW and a maximum torque of 950 Nm at 3.100-5.000 crankshaft rotations.

GEMBALLA GT SPIDER

The 625hp McLaren 12C SPIDER is an engineering tour de force that uses cutting edge lightweight technology to achieve its towering performance. It is a fascinating technical recipe that GEMBALLA appreciated enough to adopt the British supercar brand into its bespoke tuning portfolio alongside Porsche. The clear aim of the GEMBALLA GT interpretation of the McLaren 12C SPIDER is not just an adrenaline-laden drive, but also looks to die for.

GEMBALLA AERO II

Nature’s way:  Just as nature evolves its creations step by step, GEMBALLA develops its concepts over time. This evolutionary principle has brought their AERO 2 kit for the Porsche Cayenne (958) to a state of perfection, increasing its physical presence and improving its aerodynamics. For maximum flexibility, GEMBALLA offers a modular system that allows owners to cherry pick the light and strong AERO 2 carbon-fibre components from a menu, adding to them at will.

GEMBALLA TORNADO

The TORNADO, GEMBALLA’s ultra-exclusive, carbon-fibre bodied high-performance SUV, puts a strong tailwind behind the Porsche Cayenne Turbo on which it is based. From the larger air intakes in its more aggressive looking nose to the four big exhaust pipes and round lights on its smooth tail, this full-size SUV clearly shows its sporting DNA. Weight reduction plays a major role in extending the TORNADO’s performance envelope.

2010

GEMBALLA MISTRALE

With its build number limited to just 30 cars, the GEMBALLA MISTRALE will always be a rare commodity. Named after the Mistral, a strong wind that blows over long distances, this superlative sports saloon, based on the Porsche Panamera Turbo, is designed to cover tarmac rapidly while cosseting its four occupants. The decision to adopt bespoke carbon-fibre bodywork gave GEMBALLA the opportunity to change aspects of the base cars design to a greater than usual extent.

Passion in every single detail

Aerodynamics

GEMBALLA cars are renowned for their perfect aesthetic and functional form. The exacting precision of the production components is the direct result of measuring the base vehicle with state-of-the-art digital equipment.

Forged wheels

As with the other aspects of GEMBALLA automotive operations, CEO Steffen Korbach demands both creativity and attention to detail from his wheel designers in the furthering of their art. Vital components of any high-performance vehicle, alloy wheels must be as resilient as they are aesthetically pleasing.

Brake systems

Better brakes alone can make a car faster on road or track, and GEMBALLA has always been at the forefront of braking technology. GEMBALLA’s high performance brake systems are designed to improve retardation and handling through the use of cutting edge designs and materials that both improve performance and reduce unsprung mass.

Suspension

In some cases, the customer has a voice in how his car will go down the road. The electronically controlled air suspension systems for the MIRAGE GT, Cayenne and Panamera offer different basic settings, and revised software maps can be accessed at the touch of a button.

Exhaust systems

A distinctive exhaust note stamps its character on a car, and can even help to revive the memory of a great drive many years later. Building aural emotion into their high quality stainless steel exhaust systems is a given at GEMBALLA. A GEMBALLA exhaust is also identifiable at a glance.

Power upgrades

The engine is the heart of any automobile, and passion comes from the heart. At GEMBALLA, special care is devoted to building high-performance engines. As a first step, the engineers clearly assess the mechanical headroom of a base engine. Only then can potential performance parameters be laid out to ensure that the engine develops its full potential with no sacrifice in reliability.

Dynamometer

As well as being road tested to confirm perfect drivability, at GEMBALLA every uprated vehicle’s output is measured on a dynamometer using a very detailed and comprehensive EEC measurement procedure.

Interior design

Choosing a GEMBALLA car is making a statement that can be further underlined by a matching bespoke interior. When it comes to a personal choice of colour and trim materials, the sky is the limit.

Parts and variations

The strict limit on production numbers, and the stunning level of detail in the customisation of the top-of-the-line GEMBALLA "production cars" ensures their utmost value and exclusivity. A second string to GEMBALLA’s bow is the modular individualization packages that transform the look and feel of Porsche and McLaren vehicles.
